Ebay, the world's largest garage sale!

What a fantastic idea!

What a great thing to have a website where millions visit EVERY DAY!

And it's CHEAP to put YOUR product on this site!

People could make tons of money with a tool like this!

Right?

But, let's face it, most people haven't "cracked" the ebay vault. It seems like the "big boys" have cornered the market and there is no way you can find products to sell THAT cheap. And, it can feel overwhelming to think of going to garage sales and estate sales and then listing all those "finds".

But, let's talk about some of the things that makes eBay fantastic:
     1.  It's one of the best kinds of businesses that you can "start small" and build on.  And I mean SMALL. You could start your business for $5.00 if you wanted to!
     2.  You can start your business VERY part time. What other business can you start and stop when you want or need to and NOT hurt yourself in the long run?
     3.  It's EASY.  eBay has made listing items simple "point and click" and you can list an auction in less than five minutes.  There are also many different software programs that allow you to list auctions in a very automated way and once programmed, you hardly have to do anything at all.
     4.  Whether you approve or not, people love to gamble and to WIN something.  What this means to you as a seller on eBay is that a product that would sell for $1.00 in a brick and morter store, will often sell for $5.00 on eBay.  Competition is the best marketing partner you could have!

NOW, for the keys to the vault!

First, you must be WILLING to work. Simple, right? Well, that is THE NUMBER ONE reason more people do not make money with such a fantastic opportunity.  I mean, think about it, before eBay existed, wasn't the excuse to not sell products on the Internet that it was "too hard" and "too expensive" to drive traffic to your site?  Wasn't it a huge problem to have to buy "in bulk" from wholesalers and then store those items while you were trying to sell them? And how about that you had to sell NEW items?  Now that eBay solved all those problems, people come up with other excuses for why it won't work, or why it won't work for THEM.

So, the HARDEST part is becoming WILLING to put in the effort needed. And, realizing that the effort needed is SO EASY compared to how hard things used to be! Be honest about the fact that you may have bought into our society's "something for nothing" attitude.  Nothing, nothing, NOTHING is going to happen for you with-out SOME effort.

I've already done most of the work in setting up my own eBay business. And, I will GIVE you my WORK for you to use in your business.  All you  have to do is FOLLOW THROUGH.

Second, you have to decide WHAT you want to sell.

If you decide to sell used items, that's pretty self explanatory.  Go to thrift stores, garage sales, moving sales, estate sales, flea markets etc. Don't forget to ask people if they have stuff they are throwing away or donating.  Free merchandise!  Start a ledger of ALL of your expenses, not just what you paid for the item and the listing fees; but, also, your gas and how much time you spent.  There is nothing worse than thinking you're in the green when in fact, you are losing money. If you find that you are having trouble being profitable, and you have kept a careful log of your expenses, it should be a simple task to figure out where you are "bleeding" cash or resources and stop that puppy!

If, on the other hand, you would like to have a more reliable source of goods and would like to limit the effort required on your part, than I highly recommend drop shipping.  What that is, in a nutshell, is a re-sellers dream.  You don't have to pay upfront for merchandise, you don't have to store it, you don't even have to package and ship it.  All you have to do is list it. WOW! So, what's the catch?  It's darn hard to find reputable, reliable drop shippers.

However, I am very happy to announce that I have cracked that little nut and the following links will provide you with several great options!
